About Us
The “Green Book Collective” was created to provide a safe space where black people can connect and find goods and services that are inclusive and aim to support black identity.
First published in 1936, and in circulation for 30 years, a guide called the " Negro Motorist Green Book" provided African Americans with advice on safe places to eat and sleep when they traveled through the Jim Crow-era United States.
Our business philosophy aligns with the Ubuntu doctrine, which is an ancient Bantu African word meaning "humanity to others". Reminding us that "I am what I am because of who we all are."
